The Passing of Charles ChulWon Khym, Esq.

yKAN regrets to inform you that one of our longest friends and supporters, Charles ChulWon Khym, Esq., passed away from a heart failure on Thursday, March 1st. He was 45 years young. Charles served as yKAN's sixth president in 1998 and fifth chairman from 1999 to 2002. As many of you know, he was a pillar of the New York and Korean American communities, having served on the boards of yKAN, Friends of THIRTEEN, LaGuardia Community College, Milal Mission, Korean American Association of Greater New York, Korean American Lawyers Association, Korean American Youth Foundation, and the Queens Community Board and having volunteered for numerous local community and social service organizations. Professionally, he was a successful attorney heading up the Law Office of Charles C. Khym in Flushing which specializes in personal injury litigation. Charles is survived by his wife and their twin daughter and son. Our thoughts are with them and the rest of his family.
