Korean War Veteran Workshop

yKAN is a media sponsor for the Korean American Voters' Council (KAVC) event, "Korean War Veteran" workshop. It will be held this Friday, August 12th from 6pm to 7:30pm in English.

Location:
KAYF Office
163-07 Depot Road
Suite B1
Flushing, NY 11358

Korean War is often called "forgotten war." Most 2nd generation Korean Americans do not know much about it, as most American history classes overlook it. The purpose of "Korean War Veteran" workshop is to educate young Korean American students to learn about history of Korean War and the relationship between Korean and U.S. yKAN also encourages alumni and those in the yKAN parenting group to consider sending their children to this event.

Three Korean War veterans will present and share their experience of Korean War. They have shared the experiences about the war for several years, but the previous workshop last July with KAVC was their first presentation to the greater Korean community. Please join us in this great event, and please thank these veterans for their service to both our countries.
