Young Korean American NetworkDonate

2009 Executive Board

President: Jisung Chun

Jisung first heard about yKAN from her mother who read articles on yKAN on Korean newspaper while she was studying at college. Once returning to NY/NJ from school, Jisung attended her first yKAN event at a happy hour in May 2007 out of curiosity and became a member since. She was amazed at yKAN’s ability to attract members from various personal and career backgrounds and was impressed by the community services that yKAN had to offer.

Being born and raised in Korea, then immigrated to the States when she was 13, Jisung felt strongly that she can utilize her understanding in both cultures to serve Korean communities. She has always been very passionate about promoting cultural and political awareness of Korean community. She aims to lead yKAN to provide healthy medium for young Korean Americans to network and give back to the community to advance as a whole.

Jisung received her B.A. in Finance and Operational Management from School of Management at Boston University. She served as a vice president of Korean Student Association while at Boston University. Jisung currently works at a large technology & management consulting as a Business Consultant.
